Multi-year Roth conversion optimization against the real tax terrain.
Terms of Service
Last updated July 2026.
1. What RothPilot is
RothPilot is an educational software tool that models multi-year Roth conversion schedules against factors like the ACA subsidy cliff, IRMAA lookback, long-term capital gains stacking, and NIIT. It is a calculator, not a service that manages money, accounts, or filings on your behalf.
2. Not tax, legal, investment, or financial advice
Nothing produced by RothPilot constitutes tax, legal, investment, or financial advice. The output is a hypothetical model based on the assumptions and inputs you provide. You must consult a qualified tax professional, financial advisor, or attorney before making any financial or tax decision.
3. No warranty of accuracy
We make no warranty, express or implied, that the calculations are accurate, complete, or applicable to your situation. Tax law changes, and RothPilot's modeling of it may contain errors or omissions. You are responsible for independently verifying any result before relying on it.
4. Results are hypothetical
All figures shown are projections under the assumptions you enter and the tax rules built into the tool at the time of calculation. They are not a guarantee of any future outcome, tax liability, subsidy amount, or Medicare premium.
5. License to use
A purchased license (Plan Pass or Annual Pass) grants you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use RothPilot for your own planning purposes. You may not resell, sublicense, or share your license key.
6. Plan Pass and Annual Pass
Plan Pass is a one-time purchase covering the optimizer with the tax-year constants current at time of purchase. Annual Pass includes the same optimizer plus updated constants each year as the IRS publishes them, for the duration of the subscription term.
7. No handling of funds or accounts
RothPilot does not access, hold, move, or have any connection to your brokerage, retirement, or bank accounts. It does not execute conversions or trades. Any conversion you decide to make is carried out by you, directly with your financial institution.
8. Your data
See our Privacy Policy for details on what data is collected and how it is used.
9. Payments
Purchases are processed by Paddle, our payment processor and merchant of record. Paddle handles billing, tax collection, and payment security for all transactions.
10. Refunds
See our Refund Policy.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of your use of RothPilot is limited to the amount you paid for the license. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including tax penalties, missed savings, or investment losses.
12. As-is service
RothPilot is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of RothPilot after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. The "last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where superseded by mandatory consumer protection law in your jurisdiction.
